As noted to the High Council of the Ohio LoCo, the program The Burning Circle is going on hiatus as of now. The anticipated date for the next program release is Monday, August 20, 2012. An audio notice will be posted to the podcast feed Monday to declare the start of the hiatus.
Late Sunday night into the very early hours of Monday is when I normally upload podcast episodes. I produce programming for LISNews.org as well as the Ohio LoCo. Most of our recording and production takes place on a box running Audacity on Lubuntu 12.04. Scriptwriting normally takes place on one of two Xubuntu 12.04 boxes.
As announced in Burning Circle 71, there will be no episode Monday due to the Memorial Day holiday in the United States. Programming will resume on June 4th barring unforeseen disruptions.
The bold adventure is trying to use Launchpad for collaboration across the Ohio LoCo for producing The Burning Circle. The podcast serves as a communications medium for the Ohio LoCo and, in keeping with the circle of friends notion, has a name that refers to the river within the LoCo's geographic territory that caught fire. That river is the Cuyahoga River which even has a 100 mile endurance run named in its honor.
I think I have the project set up right on Launchpad at http://launchpad.net/burningcircle. As long as one is a member of the Ohio LoCo on Launchpad, you can contribute material for the weekly program. That is in addition to our Google Voice answering machine at +1 702 714 0397.
Due to unanticipated circumstances, there will not have been a released reading aloud of the draft new Code of Conduct this week. I had hoped for that as a special. It looks like it will be folded into the next episode which will appear Monday in people's podcatchers, people's e-mail inboxes courtesy FeedBurner's e-mail subscriptions function, and here on the Planet.
