Randoms

In no particular order:

  • Erie Looking Productions does work beyond the LISNews Netcast Network. Sometimes that involves running support at live arts events. Guitar performances on the west side of the Las Vegas metro in Summerlin are part of that.

  • The network's stand-down continues. Tech for Techies and Hyperlinked History are catching up on writing features. I also get to spend more time handling the business side of operating.

  • Would there be any demand for logo-emblazoned merchandise via CafePress for the various shows? This could help raise revenue. Then again, the Lulu Storefront is rarely visited and nothing has ever been bought from there.

  • Should a new disc be released via On-Disk.com? Considering that nobody bought the last one, I am not so sure.

  • While Google adSense is injected wherever possible, we don't seem to be making all that much from it. This happens, alas.

  • A promotional poster exists. We must increase the distribution of it, though.

  • Open source software picks librarians should look at more: Scribus, gpodder, GNU Privacy Guard

The LISNews Netcast Network Stand Down

So, the LISNews Netcast Network is on a "stand down" period. What does this mean? Right now network producers are catching up on writing scripts. The stand down was requested by Mike Kellat of Erie Looking Productions, was put to a vote, and was approved unanimously.

The most recent program episodes you can catch up on include:
Tech for Techies 8
LISTen #67
Hyperlinked History - Toilet Training by The Faceless Historian

The network's work continues during the stand down. We'll still be working on seeking licensors of content for radio. We may look into getting the vodcast started back up somehow too. FFMPEG may also be a big thing to be researched, too.

If you have any questions or concerns for Erie Looking Productions or the Interim Coordinator of the LISNews Netcast Network, contact us.
